Ambit Wheels
Ambit Wheels is an automotive wheel brand established in 2014,
delivering purpose built aftermarket wheels popular within the auto enthusiast market.
One of my first freelance jobs, designing logos, packaging, and even their first wheels.
Logo Development
Ambit was initially released into the automotive aftermarket as Ambit Performance Wheels. The original design concept involved utilizing a wheel spacer as part of the logo. Other variations derived from logo references submitted by the client, however a variation focused heavily on incorporating racing stripes and track symbolism was preferred instead.
First set of logos developed before the name changed from Ambit Performance Wheels. One of the requests was for an inclusion of wheel spacers as part of the logo.
Final direction of developed logos. Middle variation was requested based on aesthetic direction from a prior logo design for another of the client's brand (Forcewerkz).
Development for Forcewerkz, a partnering brand, focused primarily on manufacturing body kits. A Honda S2000 was requested to be incorporated into the logo.
Aftermarket Wheel Concept Sketches
Original concept sketches for two of Ambit's first wheels, the RE18 and RE81. Stylized after popular aftermarket manufacturers, such as Apex or Enkei, these wheels were accentuated with more concave forms and steeper lip styles.
